The Elevator Ride

Please indulge me why I get philosophical for a minute. Why do people get 'stuck' in any area of life? Why do people get sick... in their body, their mind, and their spirit? Would you like to know? This has been the burning question for me for so long, and one that continues to drive me onward to understanding not so much the “why” of it any more, but more so the “how” of it. How people process what is happening and has happened to them, and ultimately the results of what that process has manifested for them in their journey here. "We are not humans having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin) When I read this quote years ago, I just ‘knew’ it to be truth as it resonated so deeply within me. Instinctively I have believed that each of us is not only processing our world around us, we are in fact creating our world and everything in it, and how we process what is happening in our world, produces the ‘output’ of what we are getting or have gotten in life. Years ago, without really understanding it fully, my thought has always been there must be a meaning to all of this. For the past 30+ years, I’ve committed to learning as much as I’m able to help piece together the reasons mainly for myself and my own healing, growth and evolution and at the same time, sharing it with others—as we’re all dealing with our own measure of “stuff” and, wouldn’t it be helpful to know why and how to more easily manoeuvre our way through it? Life can be likened to an elevator ride. Some will be on the elevator the minute you step on, some of those same people that you began the journey with may get off as you ascend, and others still, will get on and go higher up on the ride with you...all the while, there will be those that stay on during your ride up, and others that get off as the elevator moves up from floor to floor. But when does one actually arrive at their intended destination? Actually, I believe the things we experience here as we each live our own life, is really just the illusion of time itself while we’re on the elevator taking our ride up. The higher floors is what we move towards as we progress and learn from the ‘what that has happened’ and is happening to us. So what is the final destination? I believe it isn't a place, although in every new incarnation and lifetime that we choose to live in, those specific journeys bring us closer to higher levels of thinking, and consciousness, to learning more about ourselves, what we really are, and how to be and do, as we travel the road to enlightenment. There is so much more to consider regarding why and how we get stuck at various points in our lives, specifically with how we take in information via all of our senses. Who we really are at the core--our spirit attracts to us similar to the thoughts we have, to what we feel, and the energy frequency that it emits (and it’s ALL energy), must adhere to the Universal Law of Attraction. Therefore, we must become aware of what we’re thinking, what we’re feeling and how we are being and doing to ensure we match the frequency of what we want to manifest for ourselves. If we’re not getting what we want, then we must check in with what is really going on for us? What are we focusing on? Awareness is the first step to changing anything. We are creating and manifesting what we are getting right now (whether we know, understand or believe it), so why not focus on what we want, say what we want, do what we want and act as though we already have what we want? Yes, I know you may be thinking that it may be easy to say that. Our ‘doing’ is the challenging part.
